Initial Assessment From the initial assessment, our staff will gather information related to your presentation and work with you to set goals for your treatment journey. They will assess your injury or condition against Outcome Measures, that we can use to track your progress- that way we can ensure we are going to achieve your goals with you. Treatment Program After a detailed assessment and a review of your findings, we will work with you to develop a tailored treatment program which may include a referral to some of our other services, we will help with this if needed. Accute Pain and Injuries Our team will complete a comprehensive assessment and inform you of a diagnosis and prognosis for acute pain and injuries to have you back to full health as quickly as possible. Typically, a Physiotherapy session will include assessment, some hands-on treatment (which can include massage, joint mobilisation, strapping, dry needling, etc), advice and education on what you can do at home to help, and prescription of a Home Exercise Program. Funding If your treatment is funded by a third party provider (e.g. NDIS, Workcover, DVA) our practitioners will complete any relevant reports and paperwork for you. Our practitioners also work closely with your GP to ensure continuity of care. scroll > Frequently Asked Questions Do I need a GP referral to see you? Our allied health team are ‘first-point practitioners’ meaning you can see any of our professionals straight away without requiring a GP referral. However, some funding types will require certain paperwork from your GP including Workcover, DVA and EPC/Medicare. What types of health funds do you accept? We accept all health funds that offer Extra’s cover with your relevant service. We have an on-site HICAPS machine so we can easily process your rebate on the spot for you. Our friendly team can also provide a quote on your private health cover to let you know how much your out-of-pocket cost will be. Do you see people under NDIS? Joint Venture Allied Health Clinic is able to provide services to all self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants. As we are a new company our NDIS registration is pending, and we will update you when we are eligible to accept NDIA-managed participants. Do you accept DVA referrals? Yes, we do, however these will typically need to be ‘in-clinic’ or hydrotherapy sessions. Is my appointment bulk-billed with an EPC from my GP? Joint Venture Allied Health Clinic is a mixed-billing clinic. Exercise physiologists and podiatrists are bulkbilled before 2pm; however, our physiotherapists attract a small gap in payment. To process this, please be prepared to pay the consultation fee in full, and our friendly reception team will process your Medicare rebate on the spot if you bring your Medicare card and a debit card to your appointment. Do you offer a pension or concession rate? Yes, please bring your Concession or Pension card with you to your appointment and save $10 on your consultation fee.
